The RV Art Gallery unveiled an RV theme quilt today. RV’ers that enjoy the RV Lifestyle will love this “56 x 70″ quilt handmade by Cathy Nelson. Mrs. Nelson is a charter member of the Heartland Quilter Guild, and past member of the board of Directors of the Missouri State Quilting Guild. She has been making quilts for 30 years.

According to Jerry Bergman, General Manager of the RV Art Gallery,”This is the completion of a 2 year effort to create a quilt celebrating RV’ing.”
In 2007, Bergman contacted Clothworks Textiles, a Seattle, Washington Fabric designer and wholesaler. Clothworks specializes in creating high quality cotton fabric especially for quilters and distributes to fabric stores all over the nation.
Artist Richard Neuman, already known for his RV Artwork, utilized existing RV themes and created new ones just for the “Happy Camper” Theme.
According to Clothworks, response to the theme greatly exceeded expectations. After the first production run sold out, a 2nd run was required to meet the additional demand.
Interested Quilters download the RV Quilt Pattern and sewing instructions from Clothworks and order the material from the RV Art Gallery. Additionally, this fabric lends itself to other sewing projects, shirts, aprons, place mats, drapes and curtains; literally any project that utilizes high quality cotton fabric.
